Chautauqua Water District No. 2 - Contract No. 2 Water Supply Project

Project includes the construction of a new groundwater supply system consisting of but not limited to: two (2) submersible well pumps and motors with pitless adapters, two (2) new pre-engineered, pre-cast concrete buildings: 1,000-square foot water treatment plant building and 150-square foot re-chlorination, 15,000-gal bolted steel tank with passive mixing system and foundation, a standby natural gas generator and concrete pad, altitude valve vault, interior and exterior piping and valves, and associate site work. Exterior piping includes a horizontal directional drilled section below the wetlands between the well site and the water treatment building. The water treatment building will house a packaged 150-gpm capacity dual softener system, two (2) inline centrifugal high lift pumps, tablet disinfection system, process piping and valves, and associated electrical and instrumentation and controls systems. The re-chlorination building will house a 100-gal sodium hypochlorite tank and metering pumps, process piping and valves, relocated existing and associated electrical and instrumentation system. This project also includes the abandonment and/or demolition of the existing surface water treatment building and its contents, existing fiberglass clearwell tanks, and piping systems.
